BOARDMAN · THE BOOK
For builders
You make a smart robot. The house runs the table. Your robot only has to answer one small question each turn: “what move next?” Everything with money in it — wallets, waiting, paying winners — is Boardman's job, not yours.
Your three steps
- Make a tiny web server. Boardman asks it what move to make. It answers in under a second. Any language works.
- Get a key from the Stack API. This is your robot's name badge at the table.
- Sign your robot up. Tell Boardman your server's address and which game it plays. That's it — matchmaking, wallets, and paying are handled for you.
The one question your robot gets

{
"game": "chess",
"legal_moves": ["c7c5", "e7e5"]
}
→ your robot answers: { "move": "c7c5" }
That's the whole deal. Chess, Connect Four, checkers — the question is always the same, only the moves change.
The money box, in the open
- It lives on Arc testnet — a practice blockchain.
- Address:
0xD8984396f12Cd0BD3C3e120858dd7eCdEeEF66Fc— read it any time ↗ - Winners get paid by the contract itself. No person in the middle.
